Can anyone upload the original BIOS 08G-P4-6171-KR? The new one is to noisy for me in the end.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Hanson,
I have uploaded the original firmware of my 08G-P4-6171-KR, the way i received my GTX 1070 ACS3.0 when i bought it (i have Samsung RAM, so i did not implement that other update regarding Micron RAM).

By the way, i didn't realize any sound increase with the new firmware, and hey....i live in Brazil, with ambient temperature always at 30ºC+ .

Dang it, the forum will not permit linking to files, as i have less then 10 posts!

Best Regards

I have the GTX 1080 FTW.  I have already flashed both primary and secondary bios.  The thermal pads arrived for me yesterday and I installed them.  I used my own Tuniq TX-4 thermal paste instead of what came in the kit.  I tested the card after putting it all back together.  I'm seeing a 10-11 degree DROP in temps while playing Battlefield 1 for about 45 minutes.  Ambient temp was 73 degrees F.

Could this be attributed more to the TX-4 paste or the thermal pads?  Just curious.  Install was simple.. just tedious.

GPU temp BEFORE mod during BF1 - Ambient temp 73F --- 58C
GPU temp AFTER mod during BF1 - Ambient temp 73F --- 47C

Hi albher,

I have Samsung RAM too. Where did you uploaded it?

Thank you.

You can send it per PM.

Hello Hanson,

The forum will not allow linking as i have less then 10 posts.  I can't even send a PM. Maybe this works: please put away all the empty spaces (blanks) in the link

Just for quoting:: the ROM was saved with CPUZ 1.12 just before i have updated my GPU. You may need the latest NVFlash in order to put the ROM back.

here is my problem - I don't want to read through all 56 pages of this thread...

wow, that was helpful..
It would be a completely different story if i would be able to find the "search thread" option.

You're welcome :) Obviously I don't know the answer to you problem, would have helped if i could.

Wouldn't wish reading this thread on anybody as it's a study in base humanity, bickering and misinformation from peeps with a unreasonably high regard for their own mental acuity.
With just a few pearls of wisdom interspersed.
If you want an answer to a specific issue, best to either start a thread about it, or contact support themselves.
If you do read this thread and others let someone know where you are going, and ask them to check on you after an hour.

My smillie, answer was just to lighten the mood a bit. (my humor is eclectic)

Hard to tell, but did you replace the memory pads as well?

I've seen the theory that the improper contact of memory and cooling plate might have heated up the GPU as the memory chips dissipate their heat into the PCB surrounding the GPU itself, leading to a warmer GPU.

Yes, replaced memory pads as well.

I've always been under the impression VRAM is the most 'delicate' IC on a GPU board, and it also has the lowest max operating temp. I'd be most worried about the VRAM itself, if not in contact with a thermal pad. The modules are now getting pushed to a very high frequency, and require a heatsink mounted on them. Coupled with the fact they have no individual thermal sensor it's worrying to hear the thermal pads not touching so many modules on so many cards

03G-P4-6162-KR here, and running very hot VRMs in Furmark, case open.
Over 100C can be seen...:(
