You should also go to you Microsoft Account and see if the laptop is under devices and there is an option to remove.

Is it an SSD or Mechanical, if its a mechanical you need to run a secure erase on the drive or encrypt it then format it to make sure none of your personal data is transfered

Tried reset only for windows to get stuck in an endless loop. Ended up deleting all partitions on drive and installing a fresh new copy of win 10 64bit home created from media tool on a flash drive. I just skipped over the key part and did not set up a Microsoft account. When it asked for pc name I just put in user and did not put in a password. After it updated itself it states windows is activated and genuine. Thanks for all the help guys.
