Maybe it is time for approval of Threads and Posts on the Forum to control this issue.
MODS Are you up to this tasks?

I didn't intend to start anything, but obviously it's a hot topic right now.  I got the answers I came for, this thread can be deleted as far as I'm concerned.

Yes jeff, in all honesty go with another company.  These people have me super heated at this point and are dragging feet for resolution.  EVGA has always been my goto for Graphics, but that officially ends now.

Yeah big talk from someone on a Forum post. If you dont like your card or EVGA then have fun with Gigabyte or ASUS and their crappy customer service which is also having this "issue" by the way.

I'm not turning this into anything. It's Mr. Loud Mouth up here ^^^that's deciding to come into a Forum and start bashing a company on a product he knows nothing about and try to defer customers from purchasing said product by spreading lies.

Look at my joined date compared to yours.  Not to mention I have been using EVGA cards long before I got on there to register that 750ti.  I'm going to continue to bash them until the truth comes out and the people around here stop side stepping the issue.  It is now my personal mission to spread this word.  If they would have just been up front and honest from the beginning, we would have no problem.  And that includes sending out a mass email to all registered users about the Thermal Pads.

So yes, I am taking to any medium I can now to deter people away from this shady company.  I work from home and have ALL day to sit here and do what is needed.

mytwocents: i think evga should reveal the reasons of the caught fire cases in order to show ftw card can run in spec without additional pads.

They did a test and it performed within spec, articles on mobipicker.com and techpowerup.com are the first Google results, it won't let me post a link.

I don't think it's entirely possible for EVGA to verify the cause of each and every claim, there are too many variables with each setup, and as demonstrated by some of the posts on this forum, it becomes hearsay pretty quickly.  Someone could say they were running on a particular setting, but really they were doing something else entirely, etc. etc.

I see, so my join date means my comments are more valid than yours, right? I recently asked you to provide something backing your claims of a MAJOR ISSUE of VRM components failing across ALL EVGA 1080 and 1070 GPUs. You refused. Why is that?

Everyone always points to that same photo of that burned card, lol. I haven't seen "hundreds of cards blowing up." I've seen hundreds of useless posts about cards blowing up. I'd be miffed if I had to apply thermal pads to my card, but it isn't the end of the world. You may learn something new by taking apart your card and applying the pads, and re-apply thermal paste to boot. Or, send it to EVGA and they'll take care of it. The more people who stop buying from EVGA, the quicker I'll receive my next card(s) from fewer people ordering ahead of me. Score.
