Hi there,

In light of this new info, I got pads for my gtx 1080sc card that I bought a few months ago. I haven't experienced any issues with over heating or resets but figured I would get the pads just in case...

My only issue is , I dont know to install them .. Can I mess something up? Will there be a tutorial?

Also can I return the card to evga without paying shipping/handling as I dont think I should pay that... Thanks!

This "thermal pad" process is only for the FTW Model Pascal Cards.
If Your SC Card is not having issues then you should not create them.
Ask your Local Computer Store if they will install the Pads For you, you will need to get your Own Pads for this upgrade to your card.
Not that different then installing a Water Block on your card.
Why would you think shipping would be free if you brake your own card?

They are NOT for FTW models only.  I've already pointed this out to you once.  Either post accurately or don't chime in to this and risk peoples equipment going bad. SMH

I already requested them, I had the option to do so... So obviously it effects the 1080sc

Hey wow, @bcavnaugh finally said something accurate with a simple "yes" good job!  Now please continue to do so.  You answering people with mis information is not your job, and also highly irresponsible as a human being.
