Ouch... It doesn't always pay to be hasty and always try to cut costs every chance you get, to save money, which they tried to do. Sometimes you have to spend the money to make the money.

Company-wide net profits fell 16.8% to $4 billion, while its mobile division reported a staggering 96% net profit loss year-over-year (from $2.1 billion in 2015 to just $88 million today).

The Note 7 killed all profits more or less for the quarter. However the Samsung Galaxy 8 will probably debut in February.

Hopefully they can make some kind of mind blowing advertisement to get the people to get passed the Note 7 fiasco and consider the Note 8.

It's sure going to be interesting to see the PR work that will be done.  Everything I heard about the Note 7 said it was a fantastic phone aside from the obvious issue.

I only wait to see new iPhone 7s and iPhone 8.
I made my decision, every 24 months new iPhone.
From one contract to another and I will always have nice iPhone for 550 euro only on 24 months payment.
When I sell old, I could cover half of new. Never cash money, always over carrier.
No reason to look for Xaomi, Naomi, Pixel, One, HTC THC and who know what else.
iPhone is our friend, Apple is our friend, they made BEEEST CELL PHONES ON MARKET.
