It would be helpful if EVGA would make somekind of howto article about where to place and what thickness thermal pads. Would not need to send out lots of packets that cost money.

Oh right.  Just because a completely unbiased "evga tech" (insert sarcasm here) says the test is flawed and not a problem must mean its true.  My card fried while playing Black Ops 3, and tons of others I suppose are just a coincidence.  If this wasn't a problem why do they have this thermal pad mod available?
 
I am just thankful I was home and it did not cause a major fire.  Trying to get a full refund. There is a lot of shady practices here in a similar vein to the Samsung fiasco.
