I currently have a Logitech G700 and to be honest, I love it.  It's always chewed through batteries pretty quickly, but lately it seems to be going through them much faster.  So much so that I started dating the batteries to see how long they last.

Case and point, I put in a new battery on 10/24, just had to replace the battery today.   From Monday to today, I've probably used the mouse for around 24-26 hours give or take.

So it's off to look and compare.  Corded mice are not out of the picture, but they could prove problematic when (if) I finish the new build, mainly because it will be several feet away off to my left, and I am pretty sure a corded mouse would not do so well plugged into a USB hub.

That is how I have mine and I have no problems. Mouse + Extension + USB. And my PC is off to my left on its own rotating platform.

If you buy a quality USB hub preferably USB 3.0 it will do fine. I bought a cheapo USB 2.0 5 plug hub at el Walmarto and it had sever input lag. I'm sure you can find one at a reasonable price OR just a simple USB entension cable would work as well.

I've already got a really nice 3.0 hub and a nice 2.0 hub as well, so Im set there.

Since I like lots of buttons, I've been mostly looking at Logitech stuff.  Corded option would be the G502 Proteus Spectrum, wireless would be G602.  I am tempted to give the GSkill MX780 a try.    Looked closely at the TORQ X10, but I prefer a right handed button set up and plus it looks like it might be a bit small and narrow.

One thing, and Im especially looking at Corsair, Logitech and Razer.  Enough with the RGB already.  It's a mouse, not a flashlight or disco ball.

I've had the razer naga for several years now and it's still going strong. I've been thinking about the Corsair Scimitar
or this Venus mouse, seems pretty good for under $40.

Does your keyboard have USB? I run mine through the keyboard and it works fine.

I was thinking to myself as I read your post "of course it does!".   And then I learned that I am incorrect.  So despite the expense of this keyboard, it does not have a USB pass through...

For the record I have a Corsair K95.  And the pictures out there showing a USB plug lie. Or they show and older/newer model.

I have a Corsair mouse and I was so happy with it I bought another exact model and it is still in the shrink wrap plastic.

Which one?

If I opt for Corsair, I would probably go with the Scimitar due to the overwhelming amount of buttons.

That's strange. My K70 has USB I would assume the K95 does as well.

I've returned Razer products in the past because their required software was so bad. I'd never recommend that brand of computer hardware.
