Is there any way to see a date which tells when the card was made and left the factory for sale?

My card is evga gtx 1080 ftw
08G-P4-6286-KR

And what the serial number means, can someone breakdown the numbers, cause in tbe middle there is 6286 which means it's ftw edition.

You can see what day the card was shipped from EVGA using the guest rma page. Just in out the serial number in the guest rma page, and it will tell you what date the warranty runs out and how many days are left in the warranty. That will give you a general idea to when it was shipped from EVGA.

I am not sure how serial numbers read though, so that I can not help out with.

In addition to the above, and if you mean the part number 08G-P4-6286-KR instead of the serial number.

The first number is how much VRAM the card has..The second number is the PCI Express version..The third number is the product number..The suffix is the warranty.

08G-P4-6286-KR means 8GB of VRAM..PCI Express 3.0..1080 FTW..With a 3 year transferrable warranty.

What does an EVGA Part Number indicate?

Bob, I think and could be wrong, the op is asking about the part number located in the serial number. Example:

Serial Number: ******2888******
Part Number: 03G-P4-2888-KR

This is the same on all of my. Registered GPU's.

There is 6 digits, a part number, and 6 more digits.

Power supplies have a slightly different part number in the serial number.

Serial Number: ******1608******
Part Number: 120-G2-1600-X1

All psu's have an 8 at the end of the serial numbers part number.

I have removed the rest of the numbers as they are not actually relevant. You will see the pattern if you look st your products in your profile.

THANKS for this!

I bought my card from Amazon 9/19, but did not know when EVGA shipped it to Amazon. Using the "Guest RMA" page, it says EVGA shipped it on 9/14. Since EVGA stated cards they shipped "from 8/31 forward" have the VRM out-of-spec issue fixed, I'm hoping this puts my card in the clear.

I have also tested with various benchmarks and some long sessions of Witcher3, which several people indicated triggered the "BS/100%" issue on their cards pretty quickly. No problems of any kind, card runs cool and performs great. But I've still been concerned as some people say the problem didn't show up for a month or two, so knowing EVGA shipped mine after the stated fix date helps alleviate some concern.

Regarding serial number digit meaning, this is from page 111 of the "black screen and fan 100%" thread:

◦First two digits: Year Manufactured
◦Third digit: Product type (1 being graphics card).
◦Fourth and Fifth: Factory.
◦Sixth: Warranty Length.
◦Seventh to Tenth: Part Number.
◦Eleventh: Region Sold.
◦Twelfth to Sixteenth: SNS or Serial Number Sequence.
