I just submitted an advanced RMA for my card cause im getting that awful revving and coil whine on my 1080. I see a couple threads about this but not alot of follow up on what happens once some of you got your RMAs. Should i be expecting to send this one back as well or is it just a lottery at this point?

I bought a 1080 SC with the fan RPM issue, and RMA'd it. The RMA has the same RPM issue.
Last I read they had stopped RMA's for this issue until they figured it out. Haven't seen any more info than that.

Same here, I Rma'd my card (GTX 1080 GAMING ACX 3.0 - PN 08G-P4-6181-KR) the new replacement does the exact same thing.  I figure I'll just live with it for now until EVGA gets this sorted.  EVGA is the best company I've had the pleasure of doing business with and since the card has a 3 year warranty I'm not worried.  EVGA will make it right.

dang. I just provided my collateral 2 days ago so im waiting to hear if they are shipping it or not, im pretty sure its already approved but we will see. Called tech support on phone and he told me that they are sort of holding rma's back but if anyone has that problem to submit one anyways. This is my first evga gpu so hopefully everything gets sorted out, never have had such great customer service like this though. Remembered when my xbox one's blu ray drive started scratching my discs a year after i got it and i was told by ms that i was lying and and i sent it in, and got it back scratched up and wouldnt turn on. The following month i got my PC :)
