Unfortunately the 790i chipset does not support UEFI BIOS which would be required for the GTX 1060 to be installed. This is a very obscure requirement and I do apologize if there was any confusion. Your motherboard would be compatible with 600 series cards and below.
Will my GA-Z68XP-UD3 rev. 1.3 support a EVGA GeForce GTX 1060?
Yes that should as far as I am aware. You may want to update the BIOS but it looks promising.
