Is it just the angle of your picture, optical illusion or maybe my poor eyesight........but it looks like the whole right side (in the photo) the pins are laid over to the left.

That's just the way they are made. It looks to me like all of those pins bend in the middle to give it a spring type action. They used to call that an 'elbow joint' or 'elbow action' on antique car shock absorbers. I am looking more for symmetry where all pins are in perfectly straight rows and columns. Here's another angle but it's hard to try and wiggle an iPhone past the hoses.

I might have to finally try an EVGA motherboard.

That would be a very good idea.

It doesn't look like any of the EVGA Z170 motherboards have the proper spacing for my video boards. Too bad or I might get one.

What code is it giving you on the little 2 digit debug readout when it gets hung up?

It doesn't hang up. It keeps cycling 4C, 55, 0d, 00 and repeats forever until I shut it off.

Maybe try unplugging the front panel connectors?  Seems like the reset signal is stuck.

I already yanked them off. I removed everything until I had nothing but a bare motherboard with CPU, RAM, keyboard and mouse. Keyboard or mouse won't light up either. If new RAM doesn't fix it I will RMA the CPU and pitch a fit to MSI about sending me a DOA motherboard.

Or maybe some are backwards!

Try single ram in different slot. Is there a bios switch for different bios? If so try it.

I looked up your board. Seems there is a slow mode switch on it. Try a different setting on it. Worth a shot.
