This is so ridiculous. We need to rework the complete thermal design? I myself own a GTX 1070 FTW. First time for me with EVGA. Awaiting the pad-collection to arrive. Won't do the VBIOS update because of higher noise, just the pad mod.

According to reports, the new pad on the front VRMs is not touching the cooler. Hope they don't melt under the pad completely without air.

I really hope there will be provided a goodie inside the package for my work time. Would suggest a GoW4 key, since my card is not qualified for the promotion. Otherwise, I will go for MSI next time again.

I have yet to find any official document on the memory pad install. Even the evga installation guide doesn't cover the memory pads yet.  
 
I updated my bios and my gpu temp went from 44-47 idle to 32-38 idle.  I won't put it under load without replacing all the thermal pads first.  

My first EVGA card ever since I heard people highly speaking of this brand. I understand that **** happens but I think that EVGA should make an official statement about this (another one) vram pad gaps issue. Brand new cards or refunds should be offered to customers. P&L probably is gonna hurt this way, but in the long run is the only way to restores customer's trust, at least mine. Any other solution it looks like a joke at this point. 3 problems so far have been found (micron, vrm and vram pads), what else could be left? Maybe we have just started digging... Really dissapointed with the company.

I will pay for the shipping fee if they are allowed to refund. Feel pretty bad as don't know what sort of damage have done to the components already, just like a unknown timing bomb in the PC case.

Sorry for my English. I think evga should allow us to exchange our cards in the future with next-generation equivalent, with a small difference in price, because I think I will have a hard time selling it!
