Properly placed and spaced thermal pads on the RAM are optional?

Thats basically what the mods in this forum will tell you. They have lost all credibility at this point.

Not just the mods, even support says it's optional. Last EVGA product I ever buy.

we all see some inconsistencies but since evga is willing to solve the problem, although a little bid late, i shall give another chance to not just evga but myself too.

no offense but if you really an evga fan and have been following the whole acx series from the beginning of gtx 770, you should know and understand acx is not the top tier stock cooler from aib. unless you naively trust the marketing promotion without seeing practical reviews.

i personally and strongly believe that once we apply the right pads to the vram under the midplate, with the optional help from the back plate, vrm temp and vram temp must reduce to ~80c, meaning that vram and vrm can all function properly within specs (micron vram is 95c; ftw vrm is 100c).

I really hope it solves the problem. Whether I'm "really an evga fan" doesn't matter here. The acx isn't the best but it isn't terrible and these cards have great reviews and ratings. But these thermal pads weren't there (VRM) or weren't making contact at all(VRAM) and that's pretty scary.

Starting next week we will ship thermal grease, memory thermal pads, along with PWM thermal pads in the package. It is recommended to remove the existing grease on GPU and memory pads and apply the new ones. For any customers that did not receive memory thermal pads, please contact us so we can arrange it.

If my thermal mod care package is still "awaiting shipment" at the time of me writing this, will it include the new memory pads?

I want to know this too

Also "awaiting shipment" and wondering the same.

So? Please jacob just tell us so we set our mind in peace

Will you send the Powerlink along with the pads?

I am wondering should samsung issue thermal pad/film to all the note 7 customers rather than recall, which literally has the same issues overheating due to poor design and bad quality control.

I also hope that the pads for RAM are included already in my awaiting shipment. Have ordered 2 Kits. 1070 FTW and 1080 Classified

Another "awaiting shipment" case here (1070 SC), would like to know if the VRAM pads will be included.

Did you even read the thread?
Did you even read the page you posted to?
Post 92, look up.
Or would you like someone from EVGA to come over to your house and read the entire thread to you as a bed time story?
The lame in this forum is pathetic.

How about a little decency? Someone made a little mistake, no need to crucify them for it.

Besides, I'm pretty sure I'm asking about something that many others are wondering about too. I'm not even sure what "Awaiting Shipment" means in this case. Have they been shipped? Is EVGA waiting for stock? Are they preparing the package?

You need to realize people have paid a premium for these products and have every right to ask questions. If it bothers you, just scroll past, how hard is that?
