Support told me this "Thank you for the reply.  There has been an update to this and we will be adding Thermal pads to the Vram as Well as the VRM.  If you wish to do the modifications yourself we can send these out to you otherwise we send a replacement card to you with these done as well as an updated VBIOS. These will be treated as an RMA per our policy that any product outside of the 30 days of purchase will be a re-certified card as these are purely optional mods we are offering and are not required."
 
This is with my "Status:  Next Step: Preparing to ship replacement product " status.
So hopefully it's applied to my card that I contacted them about yesterday for Advanced RMA.

I hope it is included, shipment might take 3 weeks to my location. Then if I discover they are not included that is another 3 weeks.

My kit was said to have shipped on 10/31. Do I need to request the revised Thermal Kit with support directly then?

I am showing that your request for the Advanced RMA was received and is pending processing.  I can confirm that yes, all of these optional thermal mod updates will be applied along with the recommended VBIOS update prior to shipment.

Wait, so will the card I just advanced RMA include this already applied?

Thats basically what the mods in this forum will tell you. They have lost all credibility at this point.

On my 1070 sc 7 of the 8 ram chips are touching the thermal pads. So every card seems to be a different case.

I'm waiting for the thermal pads to arrive, hope the vram's are included.
