So A few days ago I posted about my issues with a 1080 FTW Hybrid. Would not allow any system to post.
Finally got through to EVGA but because I'm located in New Zealand (And I am sure they will be really low on GPU's) They have told me I need to replace my card through my resaler. I would prefer to do this, however there are no 1080 FTW Hybrids left in the country, Let alone the retailer. I have a close relation with the retailer and they noted that the majority of the 1080 and 1070 cards seem to have problems (Old stock) The only cards they have personally found to work well were the founders version which I don't want to touch due to throttling issues.

I'm wondering what other people would suggest. I haven't had to deal with this before with EVGA but I understand that they are having a lot of RMA requests and the Hybrid cards are pretty new on the market. However there is no real information on when NZ will get a new shipment of these cards. It's been 2 weeks since I got this card and obviously I don't want to sit on a brand new card that doesn't work and end up waiting another 6 weeks for an EVGA RMA only to get a refurbished card back. Been without a working system for 3 weeks now and I am really getting desperate to get back up and running

My advice would be to get a FE and buy the Hydro kit. You get a working card and EVGA cooling.

That would be a big waste of Money.

OP "EVGA RMA only to get a refurbished card back" Your card is less than 30 Days old you will get a NEW Card not a refurbished one.
I believe we said this in your other post. Brand new GTX 1080 FTW Hybrid Black screen on first boot, GPU error code

If an RMA is necessary within 30 days of the original purchase date, a new in box OEM replacement will be sent in return if the product was purchased new-in-box, subject to availability.

I know this however this might take longer than 30 days to get sorted since EVGA doesn't want to handle the RMA and PBTech doesn't have any stock

Talk to EVGA again - I suggest sending a pm to Jacob as he has a bit more 'pull' - if PBTech can't get any stock then only EVGA can resolve that, so really EVGA need to take ownership of the problem and make sure you are made right, imho.

p.s. Kia ora bro (I'm a Kiwi living in NYC).

Remember the Time Ends when you start the Process. So their are no more counting down the 30 Days.
