  • EVGA 1080 SC every time I turn on my 2nd monitor I get screen flickering? Is this normal ?

Hi,
It doesn't do this flickering with my old card, or I had 1070 for week I never seen this issue. Since I got 1080 SC I am seeing everytime I turn on the 2nd monitor.

The issue still persist after some time ?
Btw, any chance you are using display port? Display port is a PITA.

DVI and HDMI, I think this is an issue. Most like I will need DP but no sure.

Well. I had a GTX 780, was using two monitors using two DVI ports. It was perfect.
Now, with these new cards i'am using display ports, and i have a lot of problems.

I was using 2 dvi with my old card as well, and never see this type of problem. So i guess its something to do with cable.

I really don't know, My guess is software related problem.
maybe drivers, maybe incompatibility with display firmware.

Problem fixed by changing HDMI cable to DP.
