Hello everyone,

As you may have seen my other thread, I have purchased a new monitor, the Dell S2716DG.

I don't know whether I should set VSYNC on or off if I have GSYNC on. I find GSYNC + VSYNC on in games to be smoother. Am I doing it right?

Please anyone with a 144Hz GSYNC monitor help me....

Thank you.

I enable V-sync with G-sync.

A lot of people think they are exclusive to one another because they both use the word "sync" but you are supposed to use them together.

You enable the V-Sync in games or in nVidia Control Panel?

I use the NVCP setting almost 100% of the time unless a game works better with in game V-sync.

One thing to note is the NVCP setting for V-sync only works while running games fullscreen.

If you use borderless windowed or windowed you will want to enable it in game.

According to this. Vsync off. Leave Nvidia CP to defaults. It was set to Vsync on. Now they went back to use application. From the article. Always have vsync off and use FPS cap.

That is what I am doing atm.

I turn on vsync in NVCP for almost all games. Diablo 3 for some reason ran like crap and had to have vsync in game turned on for it to run smoothly.

I prefer to leave Vsync on in the NVCPL with Gsync.  Always gives me the best looking gameplay imo.

V-sync + g-sync on inside the nvcp. V-sync off inside games.
