One question that I really still dont know the answer to. Do I enable V-Sync in game and G-Sync in nVidia CP? Or if I enable G-Sync in NVCP then I have to disable the V-Sync in games? I personally find running G-Sync and V-sync in games to be smoother.
You want - G-Sync - ON, Vsync - ON (in Nvidia Panel), and Vsync - OFF (in games). This way lets Nvidia control panel worry about Vsync and it only enables it if the game exceeds your monitor's refresh rate. So from 30fps-144fps it uses G-Sync but above 144 it disables g-sync and turns on v-sync (to avoid tearing). Basically they should call it frame rate cap instead of V-Sync (in the control panel setting) as you can't have V-Sync and G-Sync run at the same time since V-Sync is not variable.
One thing you CAN do to get the color settings to stick is to run the game in border-less windowed mode instead of Fullscreen - and make sure G-Sync is enabled for windowed and fullscreen mode... Again not all games support this either.
