$470 for a gsync 1440p 27 inch display?

How?

I got mine a few months ago at Best Buy as well. But even cheaper. It was $449 during that sale.

They don't have "software" outside of a "driver" that is just an INF file that corrects the name and an ICC profile.

Hello,

So I just go this Dell Monitor :http://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/accessories/apd/210-agjr?c=us&cs=19&l=en&sku=210-AGJR

It is 27" +1440P + G-Sync + 144Hz refresh rate. I love it but the colors are not "punchy." I actually believe it was way to accurate.

However, my eyes are used to punchy colors and Super AMOLED displays found on phones.

I read online that we can change the colors and gamma settings in nVidia control panel but the question is, will it work in all games without issues?

Thank you!

*NOTE*I got it from BestBuy today for $479.99 so I thought it was a good deal.

Interested in a ICC profile? I can send you mine if you want it. Just let me know. Looks great properly calibrated.

Did you install Dell's Monitor Software?

No I did not. But the device manager recognize it and it is NOT "plug and play" monitor.

I tried going to Dell's website to download the drivers but they dont have any and I heard it is no longer needed in the newer revision monitors. Mine is Revision A03.

It is not that I cant calibrate it. My issue is that my calibrations are not being applied in all games.

I don't think anyone is understanding my question. I know how to do all that, it's just I want it to apply in all games not only in certain games.....

Good choice on the monitors - I have 2 of them and I really like em!  As far as the color settings I can confirm it's really hit/miss whether they apply in games or not.  It's a gripe a lot of people over the net have and it seems to be largely dependent on finding a driver version where it works correctly.  This also happens with ICC profiles as well as the NV control panel settings.

One question that I really still dont know the answer to. Do I enable V-Sync in game and G-Sync in nVidia CP? Or if I enable G-Sync in NVCP then I have to disable the V-Sync in games? I personally find running G-Sync and V-sync in games to be smoother.

I am not talking about the .inf file or device setup file.
On the DVD that came with your Monitor is the Software to Control the Settings on the Monitor.

Wow, I did not know that. I will give it a try.

But why is it not available on Dell's website? Why when I enter my service tag, nothing shows up?!

Thanks anyways.

You want - G-Sync - ON, Vsync - ON (in Nvidia Panel), and Vsync - OFF (in games).  This way lets Nvidia control panel worry about Vsync and it only enables it if the game exceeds your monitor's refresh rate.  So from 30fps-144fps it uses G-Sync but above 144 it disables g-sync and turns on v-sync (to avoid tearing).  Basically they should call it frame rate cap instead of V-Sync (in the control panel setting) as you can't have V-Sync and G-Sync run at the same time since V-Sync is not variable.

One thing you CAN do to get the color settings to stick is to run the game in border-less windowed mode instead of Fullscreen - and make sure G-Sync is enabled for windowed and fullscreen mode...  Again not all games support this either.
