NEW ISSUE: - EVERYTHING is on Stock. Stock memory, stock CPU, debug mode GPU.

When performing ANY stress test of any kind, the GPU cuts the signal. Again, all I have to do is disconnect and reconnect and it works and tasks being performed continue to run.

- The CPU temps are under 50 (due to stock)
- The memory has passed tests
- The OS HDD has passed tests
- Latest BIOS and drivers.

Any ideas?

As the title says, my GTX 1080 FTW loses signal. The fix is to unplug the cable and plug it back in. It's fine under the games I play (CS:GO and a few others) but it's annoying.

What happens:
The monitor turns off due to no signal being detected.

Tested:
CS:GO
GTA V
Other games
Blender

Fix?
Fix appears to be unplugging the cable and plugging it back in (on the GPU, not the monitor)

Overclocks?
Removed overclocks from CPU, RAM, and GPU - same issue.

Drivers?
Happens under different drivers with my GTX 1080 only.

Event Viewer?
Nothing mentioned.

Can it be reproduced?
Yes, Blender appears to always cause it, but it happens under certain games as well.

Do I think it's the same as the "EVGA BS" issue?
I don't think so but I'm not sure. It's apparant that EVGA does not believe in Quality Control so I have no faith in the card.

Other components tested?
RAM passes tests
HDD passes tests and SMART info
Temperatures are more than acceptable
Dust is minimal and filters are cleaned often
All parts are less than one year old

Would I like to RMA the card?
Not unless it's faulty, but then I get a pre-owned card and have to pay postage costs. I thought I'd ask here and hope an EVGA support guy would reply.

Have I contacted Support?
Yes. I called US support due to EU support only working office hours. The guys I spoke with couldn't have been less interested. He did offer to RMA the card, but then there's the costs involved and the idea of a second-hand card is not great.

Do I think it's the card?
I'm not really sure, that's why I thought I would ask on here.

I hope the above is in a clear format. Thank you for taking the time to read.

Are you using the dp cable that shipped with your monitor?

I've tested two cables - one that came with the monitor and one I purchased from eBuyer. I have read the EVGA FAQ about non-certified DisplayPort cables - is that what you're referring to?

The dp output you're currently using may be faulty. Make sure to test the other dp outputs too.

I'm now seeing performance issues in games where the FPS drops by 60% or so. I'm starting to think the GTX 1080 may have issues.

Do you notice the drops when you have your in game settings set to the lowest possible settings?

I'm now leaving the card on debug mode to see how that works out.
