Ah it works now even tho I did get this:

I tried it a few times per avatar switch, the first time it shows that error, but the second time the avatar does upload.
Yet avatar preview doesn't always show ... I try to regenerate that...
 
 
But after going to my profile, the avatar neatly shows just fine
