That may be the most awkward looking, uncomfortable controller I've ever seen ......... and it will come down to if they get/ make any good games , 3rd party support, and hardware power
fearpoint
Call me old fashioned, but I can't even remember the last time I saw a grown adult using a dedicated mobile gaming device. The entire commercial is based around 20 somethings taking their video games to parties and the basketball court?
If I'm going to the basketball court - I'm going to play basketball not PSP.... wait I mean Nintendo Switch.

All they did was shrink a tablet, make a docking station for it, and put slots in the sides for controllers to slide into.
I feel that the form factor on this may be a limiting factor in horsepower due to power and thermal constraints. But then again the last 2 Nintendo consoles have been extremely limited compared to the competition. I get it, they are targeting a "different" market - but that equates to a smaller more niche market. Which also translates into less sales and less revenue. Supposedly they have confirmed support from Activision, EA, and Bethesda among others but a lot of that will depend on the dev environment. XB1/PS4 are both on similar platforms (x86) so I wonder how hard it will be to port over to this console.
