thats what component-cooling on a high-end-card should look like. I would never go back to stock cooler. People spend several 100 bucks for their mainboard, but they dont care about the poor pcb, which is actually the mainboard for the gpu. Im still waiting for the day when the 1st company will introduce this as a pre-build custom solution....like they are doing with AIO water-cooling already. This thing would have a huge impact, more sucessful than anything before. EVGA 1080 FTW+Raijintek Morpheus...that thing would win award after award.

The Note 7 of GPUs :(
In the meantime, if you were planning to buy any dual fan GTX 1080 or GTX 1070 from EVGA we would advise you to hold off that purchase until new units equipped with the thermal mod are rolled out. We would highly recommend that all existing EVGA GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 owners opt for the thermal mod as soon as possible to avoid any hardware damage. Sadly, this and the memory issue which affects GTX 1070 cards from a number manufacturers, including EVGA, makes owners of Nvidia’s most popular card also the least fortunate.

Hey.

Are you going to send Powerlinks and thermal pads in the same package? :)

FTW 1070 in Overwatch low settings 65c.  In debug mode with same settings, 47c.  Interesting.  So far no crashes in debug mode (3.5+ hours straight gaming).

Debug runs the clock at Nvidia stock speeds.

Ugh, one of my 1070's has started to smell quite funky, sort of a burning/electrical kind of smell that sticks to the back of your throat. Something definitely not right with it but it's still chugging away like a champ so no idea what it is. Definitely one of the GPU's as I swapped it into a PC in another room and after a decent round of BF1 I could smell it again. Might leave this one out until the pads arrive and then take a look at it

For those who have had GPU's die did you notice any smells etc or did it just die?

another user reports the same contact problem of vram cooling like me and other few users have. you guys should check your own cards. not just 1070 ftw but also 1080 ftw as well as those acx and sc and classified......

1080ftw, its owner said recently the card keeps crashing... the owner said he has never modded or disassembled the card ever.
