I have the following graphics card that was registered on 10/03/16 and it states that I have no qualified registered products. Could someone please verify if the following graphics card is eligible for the thermal pad.
Part No. 08G-P4-6276-BR
Part Desc: EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0

Thanks in Advance.

Edit: The card was part of a system purchased on 08/26/16

Your card should not have these issues because the pads should be installed already.

ACX of the current situation is GPU is certainly cooling.
However, the PCB(MOSFET,VRAM,VRM) is not cooling.

This is because, from the heat sink until the MOSFET is because it is full of gaps.
This problem is a problem that occurs in ACX fan all of the product.

It will not rise in temperature to dangerous temperature depending on the product,
but, Since become a high temperature state that is shorten the product life cycle,
such that no doubt I think immediately should fix this problem.

WARNING: summer is also when the Room temperature is in the MAX 40 degrees in my environment.
Physically air conditioning can not be installed.

But, I can be feel cool in the spot cooler.
However, PC is not cooled.

In this way, do not forget that they using in a specific environment.

sorry bad English.

Really since i bought my first FTW had only frustration...

Worst of all is to see the technical answers given by the support claiming that all products are tested and approved, or ask to open an RMA it will take more than 30 days, here comes another card of the same model with the same defect because of a poorly designed cooler, I bought EVGA because of warranty and after-sales, but I am very frustrated with a board with dual 8-pin connector, 10 theoretical phase power and a maximum TDP of 215W, this is too revolting.

As one can block air flow generated by the fan to the heat sink memories?

I only see a viable solution... send the kit to anyone who has at least the FTW models... http://br.evga.com/Produc...aspx?pn=400-HY-5188-B1

Otherwise i will find a way to run OCCT 24hr until it burns and exchange by HOF or MSI, and never come back to EVGA.

removing the back plate is very easy and straight forward.....
all you need is a screwdriver...

But how can you see which card the themal pads are applied.
My card is still very cool and i have never had problems with gaming.
Should I applay the pads

Does this affect the 1070 ftw? I dont have money to buy thermal paste right now because broke q_q

So you bought a $400 card and don't have $5 for thermal paste? This thread keeps delivering.

The issue is a new issue, as the VRM, The heatplate, and the cooler itself is nearly identical to all previous ACX coolers.. If it was never an issue before, then there was no reason to suspect it would be now

here is the answer I get from the support

Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us with your concerns. Unfortunately much of the information you are indicating is not correct. The cards do not need these pads in order to work with full stability and performance. We recognized that we could lower the temperatures with these pads and as a service are offering them for free to our customers. These pads however are entirely not necessary for the cards ran as intended.  Being the manufacturer we are familiar with the hardware any issues that it can have and what it needed to resolve any issues. The Micron issue for example was resolved with a BIOS update and this was a stability issue that effected every manufacturer's 1070 cards, not just EVGA's. If you need this update we can provide it. The overheating issue was reported by a single publication and we could not replicate card failure in the same conditions. That said if you are having issues with your particular card we can always assist troubleshooting to resolve the issues, or if it is suffering from any type of hardware issue then we an offer an RMA to get it replaced as well.
Regards,
EVGA

As they told me that ''much of the information you are indicating is not correct''  then why so "noise" around the thermal issues and a free
offering of thermal pads.
At the end "These pads however are entirely not necessary for the cards ran as intended" I leave the card as it is
and if burnt then evga would replace it..!!???
So is it there a problem/issue or not?

With the same logic
Evga doesn't have 1$ to put from the beginning the thermal pads and then provide as the cards?
