Meanwhile my 1080 FTW is running 80°C+ with 70-80% fans without any OC and that with more than enough fresh, cool air :(. I want your temps. 

My GTX 1060 SSC stays pretty cool with the fan curve I use in a case that doesn't have the best air flow.
 
With the mild 200mhz OC on the core and 350 on the memory the fan curve I have set rarely exceeds 70% fan speed (which is set for 60c). That keeps me happy as the card stays cool and the sound is barely noticeable as I usually have music in the background going.

I adjusted my fan curve a bit, and now the card maxes out at 56 degrees. Fan tops out at about 60% at that temp
