Hey all
Here something different from me for a change, as most know I mainly build Dual Opterons, but after I got a pm from
jamese101, something I am extremely thankful for , even I wish I could do something back in regards...really I wish I could.
He wanted to gift me his ASUS Z9PE-D8 WS Mobo + 2x 4C/8T Intel Xeon E5-2637-v2 Ivy-Bridge EP Engineering Sample CPU's & 8x 2GB DDR3-2133 Kingston Hyper-X Genesis memory, as a gift for all I have done here just because I deserved it, well if there is anything I could of done in return I would of done it, anyways he can always message me if he needs help with anything, it's that I am more than just thankful, more like honored for that part

So here the specs of the system as I plan to build it with the parts I have so far
Aeragon SMP 2016 2x 4C/8T Intel Xeon E5-2637-v2 Ivy-Bridge-EP Engineering Samples @ 8C/16T @ 3.5Ghz Base Speed / 3.8Ghz Max Turbo all cores/threads.
2x Noctua NH-S12U LGA-2011vs coolers
ASUS Z9PE-D8 WS Intel C602 Chipset Native 4-Way & Quad SLI/CFX Support
8x 2GB DDR3-2133 Kingston Hyper-X Genesis High Speed memory @ 2x Quad Channel DDR3-1600.
2x EVGA GTX 480 1.5GB in 2-Way SLI For Testing Purposes **
&
2x EVGA GTX 295 Red Edition 1.75GB in Quad SLI For Testing Purposes **
Onboard Realtek ALC 889 7.1 HD Sound
Dual GigaBit Intel Lan Jacks
1x 1TB Samsung 850 Pro SSD
SeaSonic Platinum X 1000 Watt PSU
Phanteks Enthoo Primo White + Window Kit
3x 30cm Blue CCFL's
2x 30cm White CCFL's
Plextor BluRay ReWriter
4x 2TB WD RE4 7200rpm HDD"s in RAID 1.
Windows 7 Pro x64 + SP1 or Win10 Pro x64 UK..Not certain yet.
** Some parts may change, the GTX 480's and the GTX 295 RE's are to see how this system will perform with a 2-Way SLI and a Quad SLI setup mainly stability purposes etc.
Here some pics of the case:

Here more about it, choose the whitre model :)
Phanteks Enthoo Primo White + Window Kit
http://www.phanteks.com/enthoo-primo.html At first I wanted to upgrade one on my servers, but since that would be too much of a hassle this will be a new build from me instead, giving jamese101's gear a well deserved home

It's purpose? well I hope to use it for Star Citizen with 2x TITAN X Pascal or 2x AMD RX 490X Vega, anyways something in that direction for sure.
It will also be used as test system to test varied VGA cards, on how they will perform in such an interesting system configuration, which is very new to me, due to that this is my first Dual Intel system since January 28, 2000, aka Gradinko SMP 2000
So this is like building a Dual Pentium 3 all over again just much newer and improved tech... I even wonder of the base of these CPU's still use the P3's base design, that would be cool right.
Anyways here the photo's to begin with

Engineering Samples or Prorotypes for that part, my kind of stuff

Also note the Blue/green PCB they have, over the more common dark green or dark brown PCB, a typical Prototype feature

Stay tuned for lots more, as I slowly build this new duallie

As the CPU's go I have had many Engineering Samples of VGA cads mainly from 3dfx, ATi & NVIDIA, but now having Engineering Samples fro Intel, is surely a new adventure for me as Prototypes go, and as this was all a free gift from a good old friend from 2CPU.com, I will make something lovely of it, it just will take time since I am 100% disabled, but I promise to make something lovely of it, so stay tuned my EVGA friends for a lot more to come on this new monster of mine
