looks neat, wonder how much of an upgrade in cooling/sound it is compared to the stock intel junk. i've been running the stock intel cooler on my i3-6100 on my newest build since march now and it can get pretty noisy despite good airflow in the case and cool room temps.

Looks like a cool cooler. Low profile is actually better in certain rigs.

Sure it looks neat, but I wonder how much air actually gets pushed through the cooling fins around the outside and how much just chops around in the case above it though...

i7-6700k is LGA 1151 socket, the cooler supports LGA115x sockets (LGA1156/LGA1155/LGA1151/LGA1150) so yes, you can use it.. whether it will be able to cool your CPU sufficiently is another question entirely. I certainly would not try overclocking with it.
