so let's say new and better cards releases next year... will anyone have the intention on buying my current cards if i try selling them? curious to know if there's any resale value for it...

There is always resale value.  You just never know how much it will be.  Will depend on factors that you can't foresee or control.  If you are thinking or returning your cards and waiting for the next thing... don't.  You will always be waiting on the next thing.  Enjoy your cards now and worry of selling if you get the itch in the future.

Also don't try cut and paste what other are doing for overclocking! Every chip is different and overclocking on sli means your clocks will be limited with the weaker card.

Most important thing is to get the fan curve up from default to cool that top card better.

These pascal cards use boost 3.0 and will boost on loads (free auto oveclocking) and lower when 3 things are met. Voltage limit, power limit and temp limit. Your big one right now is temp.

At 52c it will lower then again at 62c and 70 and so forth to keep it stable.

People want 2000-2100mhz..

Every chip is different and every room and case have different temperatures to deal with.

What is the best way to find out my cards capability...tweak it little by little as jays2cents suggests?

Yes.  One card at a time to learn each cards limits and then you know the best to hope for in SLI (the weakest link).  Make the strongest card the primary for times when you have to disable SLI.

No one here is a god, but there is a wealth of information collectively.  Before too long, you'll be in the fray helping the next new person.

EDIT:  Some may Sajin is, come to think of it.

I'm not sure if anyone has said this, as I didn't read much into this post or replies, because I'm not qualified to help.

But, moknowsbest, being a PC noob (i am one too)  what would you ever even dream that you would need the power of 2 1080s for? especially FTWs...

i have a bad temper against waiting on things...this is why i wanted something that will cut my wait time in half when it comes to loading files, multitasking and video rendering also playing games on high end settings while editing on the second monitor :)

oops! lol i thought tweaking on precision will change both cards at the same time (having on sli mode) also i'm thinking of uninstalling it...that piece of BEEP software sometimes freezes on load-up and/or is just kinda slow... can i use msi afterburner for making tweaks instead? :/

Afterburner is more than fine. I think Beta 14 is the latest.

Do each one to understand their possibilities individually.
