Oh I will also add that I tested the first card just to make sure there wasn't a problem with it since the limits nevery turned to 2 from 0. So I put the fan profile back to defaults.

When I ran it, once it climbed up to a good temp over 60 there the ones came flying up! Hehe. Fan was barely turning and at like 20% was freaking out that it didn't even turn on till upper 50s.

No good with these 2 in sli. The first card is cooking at 65c.

Glad to hear your problem is resolved. 65c is far from cooking.

True.. but that's just a 10 mins loop of firestrike graphics test 2 loop. Prob see 70+ in a long normal gaming session.

I slapped a fan on top of the 2 cards in the middle. My mb is horizontal in my thermaltake core x9. So I have it sacking the heat off the cards blowing the heat up to the exhaust fans. With that I get around 60c. Don't look or sound good though hah.

Going to clock them at 2100 and see how low I can go on the voltage to see how much it lowers the temps if any.

2114mhz is the best it can do it seems cause of the heat. I even have a fan behind the end of the case to blow cool air threw the card slots that helps quite a bit but obviously don't look too great but does drop the temps like 5c to the first card with the card fans blowing 100%. Max temp no matter the clock is around 65-67c.

Evga's new pc case with the left side case fans would prob work perfectly to do this job with them blowing cool air in for the 1080s fans.

I'm prob gona go that route and order one. It's like that or a lot more to water cool the cards.

I'm having the same issue as the OP. Should i just take this card back to Microcenter (I got it as an open box deal) and get another one or is it not the small difference in OC really worth  going through the exchange process.

It hits voltage limit =1 with no oc what so ever

I just notice whenever the voltage goes above 1.050 it the power limit shows 1 immediately. I'm guessing the voltage goes up with no OC because of that boost thingy. The card will be returned in the am.
