Not only have some retailers offered the EVGA GTX 1080 FTW on sale for the same price as the EVGA GTX 1080 SC model or less, now some retailers have the EVGA GTX 1080 SC on sale for under $630.
I find it absurd that the sales of the EVGA 1080 cards have slowed down to the point that they have been offered below MSRP on multiple hardware retailer web sites and yet people who signed up for the step up program in May and June don't have the GTX 1080 cards yet. I just read here about one person who signed up for Step Up in May who received his GTX 1080 yesterday. If the demand has slowed that much that EVGA GTX 1080 cards have been offered below MSRP in September, October, and November, then EVGA should allocate more cards for the step up program to move the process along.
Can someone form EVGA please explain why the Step Up wait time is so long when the demand for the GTX 1080 cards has obviously dropped to the point that multiple retailers have sold them below MSRP? Shouldn't the allocation for Step Up be increased if the demand has dropped to the point that the cards are selling below MSRP?
