EVGA needs to release a bios like this exclusively for their cards. ESPECIALLY for the FTW and Classy.
More POWAHHHHHHH!

this is not a bios but a tool that overrides the bios. i doubt evga would officially release a modded bios for all evga classified users. not to mention ftw cards. the 1070 ftw 226w bios has already shown how conservative is evga compared to other 1070s like 250w galax exoc and 300w zotac amp extreme.

It seems like this any kind of bug in Afterburner or so on..

I've shortly tested with Heavens and the result:

 Standard Bios ~ 2120 Clock

ASUS OC BIOS ~ 2500 Clock:

I also thought it couldn't be right because it all was on air.

My question here is:
What could be the cause for the Clock failure?

Shame on me for disappointing you

There's a new version of Afterburner out, BETA 14

Afterburner 4.3.0 Beta 14:

Result:

Seems not wirking correctly for me...

I'm absolutely shocked that it even ran at those clocks...that said, it's definitely not stable.

I'd suggest dropping the clocks down to where you ran it on the stock bios, and try running it again.  Then take smaller steps up, until the score starts to fall off.....these GPUs are SUPER sensitive to heat, so keeping the voltage and temps as low as possible, is always your best bet for better performance.

G'luck lol

/\   /\    /\    it wasn't actually "running" at those clocks.  The numbers being reported are not correct. T4 BIOS is NOT compatible with Classified.  It IS however compatible with FTW.

To correct this >>>> A new Classified 1080 voltage tool was released a few days ago.

Nothing dramatic, your still hard-limited to 1.25v (so quite safe).

However before this release, we were BIOS limited to 1.093v.  Most classified owners should at least now get 2200 on water.  Some may need "chilled" water depending on Silicon Lottery.

This is currently the ONLY software option for Classified 1080 voltage (Classified is NOT compatible with the ASUS T4 BIOS).  So this release has corrected a terrible disadvantage that the Classified had this round when compared against the FTW.

FTW owners could flash the ASUS T4 BIOS.  Seems the voltage controllers on STRIX/FTW are similar enough for the ASUS BIOS to "talk to" FTW cards.  Be careful though. :-)

  • In the beginning the 1080 Classified had NO waterblock support.  WE NOW HAVE A FULL BLOCK COMING FROM ALPHACOOL :-)
  • We had NO voltage control (we actually had LESS than the FTW due to FTW owners being able to cross-flash the ASUS T4 when it wasn't compatible for us) CLASSIFIED NOW HAS A VOLTAGE TOOL TO MAKE UP FOR THIS :-)
Things are definitely looking BETTER now for 1080 Classified owners.
