My 1080 SC Gaming ACX 3.0 had the same problem and I just received a cross-shipped RMA card and it has the problem as well. So will I be able to get a refund for the EAR or am I out $30 even though they sent me a card with the exact same problem that caused me to RMA in the first place?

Glad I finally decided to return it to the store and not going through the RMA process (and they would send me a refurbished one!), it's a shame EVGA don't take care about this HUGE problem, I'm convinced it has a very easy solution through VBIOS configuration, they assured me they couldn't reproduce this probem and yet they are still sending replacements affected aswell? It's nonsense.
 
Are they ever going to adress this problem at all?

the bios update has made this problem much worse for me, they did tell however that once the figure out the fan issue they will send me another card.....hopefully the third time is the charm.
