Yeah, it will be interesting.  Drop off vs. new pickups because of the social media.  Plus, how sticky they are to the team.  Also, I think evga folding is on a steady upramp as more 10 series gpu's come online.  You guys have a better feel for the seasonality and other cycles though.

That all said, it's great to have new folders.

every avg you post pics of from extremeoverclocking is a 7 day avg. the only thing that is slightly relevant is that currently folding @ EVGA is ahead of Barnacules Nerdgasm by 4.6 million today. this however is day 2 of our monthly EVGA Bucks folding surge and will fall off some in a couple days. im just curious as to how long Barnacules Nerdgasm will be producing 125ish million per day, they are on track for 3 straight days.

I give it to many of them see their first electric bill after they start folding.

Subject Title Correction back to "Folding @ EVGA is no longer #1 in production" or at least trying to.

i really don't see why this is as bad as it is. there are a lot of people that complain during the summer months when their A/C's are running and say that folding made their bill go up $100+, but that is just not accurate. after i the math i did to calculate the power usage and figure out how much my new 5 GPU folding rig would cost it came up to ~$80 a month, @ $0.21 per KWh. so divide that by 5 and you get $16 a month to run a 1070 FTW 24/7.

I guess it all depends on how much you fold on how much hardware.
I have seen many many people start folding all gunho, buy tons of hardware and then they stop folding.
Just because the new 10xx sips electric, out of 3200 new folders, I am sure many are not new, but still how many are folding on older hardware? We do not know.
When I am in full swing in the Winter I have 250+ cores crunching and several (4 to 7) GPUs either folding or BOINC GPUgrid.
This year mostly Maxwell since I got rid of my 660Ti cards and upgraded to GTX970 to 980Ti.
I like to run a lot of hardware to heat my house in the Winter, my electric bill does go up and it is more than 80$
I like to buy used hardwaare, I can buy more of it and why not put it to good use?

So time will tell. Give it a month or two or three and we will see how well they are still doing.
And 80$ a month is a lot of money to some people. Many live paycheck to paycheck

i was saying $80 per month for 5 GPU's, people living from pay check to paycheck should sell 4 of those GPU's. also if i am reading that link to CO power rates right it looks like $0.09 per KWh with a base rate of $6.75... that seems a little low but the state avg is about $0.12 so it may be correct for you.

One computer at 500 watts 24/7 at 18 cents a KWH is 12kw a day x 30 days in a month is 360KWH
360KWH x 18 cents a KWH is $64.80
With an overclocked GPU and an overclocked CPU it is not hard to hit 500 watts.

I guesstamate 50$ a month to fold per system with one GPU and CPU folding or crunching.
I think it is a fair guess and as the GPUs get better and better it will be less. That is if electric stays the same price.
I doubt that though, Only seems to go up and up as we were promised it would a few years ago.

One sec tech difficulties on cellphone.

Edit: woops my calculation was for the 4 1070's I had running at the time not for 5. So $20 per month for a 200W TDP GPU.

I also do not know where you got 500W from but that is enough to run two titans folding, no cpu folding.
