Man I love competition. Been following this story on a few other sites. The only downside to this car is the veeeeeeeeeery long on the tooth body style.

We truly live in the best ever time to own a car people! The 60's & 70'S have officially lost their title.

Just wait and see how Dodge responds and the all new Mustang in 2020... Leapfrogging at its best!

The cars today, yeah they have more HP and are faster from the factory, they handle better too.
But the cars in the 50s 60s and into the 70s sure the heck looked a whole lot better.
I would take a 42 Willys with a 427 and a big ole chrome  blower on top over anything they make today.

Someday Chevrolet will build a performance car that's pretty.

bah, american garbage made by rednecks on the auto unions.

is it still full of cheap chinese plastics on the interior?

it is a performance bargain, i truly don't think anything touches the vette, camaro, charger/challenger and mustangs when it comes to horsepower for your buck.

but boy do they lack on fit and finish and interior/exterior design.

had a cadillac cts fully loaded as a rental while my car was on the shop. Cadillac has really stepped it up both inside and out and the base 306hp V6 had plenty of power. i was impressed at how much cadillac has improved over the years.

but mustangs, camaros and even vettes all feel so cheaply made. i'd take a 70s nova or chevelle over any of these full of cheap plastic cars.

it may have 650hp, but it's still a chevy. hell i can make a honda civic beat that camaro on a 1/4 mile for far less, but at the end of the day it's still a civic.

so for $60k, my money would be on a C43 AMG fully loaded, or C63 base with some miles (starts at $70k), Audi S5, M3, M4 with some miles, Lexus RC-F, Is-F. They all provide adequate performance, but offer so much better ride confort, refinements, technology.
Solely for looks, i'd do jaguar F-type.

My 02 cents

Cadillac is the only credible luxury car manufacturer in the US. Everything else is a flimsy pile of excrement. Some have a lot of power and can go fast, sure. But they are ugly as sin. The Camaro is no exception. Many alternatives have all of the above.

And what in holy frozen over hell happened to the Corvette? Who thought this latest, vulgar iteration was a good looking car? And nitwits actually buy it...Jesus.

If you have enough money for a Corvette, you probably have enough money to buy something else. But you chose the Corvette...Brilliant.

Whoa now. I feel like Dodge nailed it with the challenger as far as the retro muscle car look goes.

...Thank you for putting me in my place. That is a nice looking American muscle car which I overlooked. The car looks modest yet sharp. It was not overdone. I would definitely buy a Challenger if it weren't a Chrysler. The Mustang is a close second.

But I must point out again, the true American supercar, the Corvette, which comes with both a performance package and a decent price tag...is an abomination.

Fixed :D

I really only like the old sting ray Corvettes or the old school split window. All others are ugly IMHO.
