what was the "design flaw" on the case? I've been looking at them for a while waiting for them to come out and have been really considering switching over from my 900D

I took video of it but if you are installing graphics cards with the case laying on its back the mobo tray will buckle under the weight and your mounting screw holes will not align. You just have to pull up to put the screws in but the tray shouldnt bukle at all.

Cool GTX
Somebody messed up when they did the FMEA

Does it look like it drying out pretty good? Maybe grab some desiccant packs and put it on the cards?

most of the water was pumpped out of the case but there was a decet amout ontop of the lowest GPU's backplate. i picked that up with a paper towel but any that splashed inbetween the backplate and the board that will simply have to evaperate over the 72 hour period that the box fan will be blowing air across it. once the new fittings arrive and i can replace that with the flex tubing more than enough time will have passed for the cards to be completely dry. also glad it happened with just distilied water and not later with my colored fluid.

Turn the Case open side down for a couple hours, then bottom side up --see if any water is trapped

i did that initially to make sure i got the bulk of all the water out with the paper towers. so now all thats left is the long wait for parts, though i will still keep that fan blowing on the case till i get the new parts just in case.

Nice, just installed my 5th 1070 to my setup too, average of 2.5 mil PPD.

One thing though, with all that folding going on, the PC would be a biatch to use.

That is why i have an 8 core cpu. with proper cpu affinity management it wasnt bad at all with 4 gpu's. Hope it will be that way with 5 gpu's.

Also your ppd is low if you really have 5 1070's you should be over 3 million. You are basically getting the ppd of 4 1070's. So you either have a quadcore cpu, 28 lane cpu, or you put cards in pci-e x4 mobo slots.

CPU has got nothing to do with it since x99 CPU's don't have a built-in GPU, so using a d-GPU that's folding would definitely stutter at max load.

My PPD is fine, it's impossible to get all the same WU's that really give you a high PPD, that's why I used the term 'average'.

CPU has nearly just as much to do with it as your GPU. if you try and run 5 instances for FahCore21.exe on a quad core CPU your PC will be complete unresponsive. even on a 6 core CPU with proper affinity management 5 instances of FahCore21.exe will leave only 1 core for windows and all other apps. not to mention if you are running a 28 lane CPU your 5 GPU's will only be running in x8, x8, x4, x4, x4. meaning your PPD on 3 of your GPU's will be restricted due to poor bandwidth to your CPU.

if you didn't know F@H is not a GPU standalone application. it requires 1 physical CPU core per instance and good bandwidth for the data going to and from the CPU/GPU. and again for your PPD i was getting ~2.2 Million with my 4 1070's for over the 2 weeks i had them running, and that was with them not fully boosted due to poor thermals, 95C at times.
