that inline temp sensor will replace the air temp sensor in my DG-87 Case, this way i can see coolant temp instead of air temp.

as for EVGA Power Link for the ends of the GPUs, i was looking at them and i may eventually go with them. but for now this isnt an option so i will continue to move forward.

this build has had nearly a hundred hours of planning in it so far and the guys at EKWB were helpful enough to help me plan out this build. i hope i got everything i need and now i hope it all arrives safely and i can get it finished soon.

Welp, 1 down 1 to go.

OUCH !

Well now you've ruined that new GPU smell

We need case shot with all 5 puppies inside

gotta wait a couple more days before you can see all 5 in one PC. all the stuff will be here tomorrow and i plan on getting started right away. now that i have both GPU's cut down to single slot i will now need to re-install the cooler and make sure they still work or if i just made some expensive paper weights. i'll edit this post or make a new one once i get that far.

YAY, i do not have paper weights! and it kinda looks funny with the DVI port and grill missing on those two slots... now to wait till tomorrow for my stuff to arrive and then i'll tear my whole PC apart and start to re-build the thing.

p.s. i have finally came up with a name. her name is EVE v0.5 . she has to first find a cure before she'll be upgraded and repurposed to find plant life on a dead world.

I thought I'd asked you this already, but I can't find the post, so I'll ask it again: if you have a full water loop, why do you still need so many fans? Are the RAM modules, the chipset, and whatever isn't water cooled really putting out that much heat?

The fans are for the radiators.
Yes, the other components put out heat and need to be cooled. But, you simply align your radiators to intake and exhaust to provide airflow within the case.

Yeah I found my other post later on where I originally asked him about that. That's cool.

One of the design motives for my new wood case was to keep all the hot air from the radiators out of the motherboard area of the case, and to try to optimize the airflow potential of my fans. I believe that screwing fans directly to radiators is a poor solution for matching the airflow potential of fans to what the radiators need for dissipating heat, not to mention the noise implications of the fan blades beating the air 1/4-1/2" away from he radiator fins.

Anyhow I'm really looking forward to Chris's new photos as he completes this build.

Gotta figure the energy density per square inch in that rig. Be interesting to see how the Temps work out.
