I recently got the EVGA GTX 1070 FTW and the RGB feature was a big selling point for me along with many others and before I installed the drivers i noticed that the LED section closest to the 2 PCI-E power inputs was a bit off color wise from the other sections. I thought installing the drivers would fix this but no matter what color it is set to, the LED section is always a bit off from the rest of the card's led sections. The led color difference is really annoying because I have a case with a side window and it's on my desk next to me and I can see it out of the corner of my eye. Is this fixable? If not I am just going to replace it.

Update: really getting annoyed with my this, might just replace with an ASUS STRIX Instead.

Others in the forum have reported inconsistencies in the LED brightness and shading.

Type in something like LED color problem or LED problem.  Most of the comments are in other threads.

Somewhere there is a post about the side panel peeling off near the "e" in EVGA and the user fixed his brightness issue by reseating a seal under it (or something to that effect).

The letters "FTW" change colors slightly earlier than the rest of the lettering on the 1070 FTW I received.

That's normal behavior.

It's because the base colors on the transparency strip are different.

When the RGB LED is white, you'll see white and blue lettering.

As you change the color of the RGB LED, the white and blue filters will cause different colors to show through.

Click on the gear on the bottom right of the precision x software. It's under the LED tab
