I am using a 2560x1440 monitor.

It's such a strange issue to have. So far only World of Warcraft has caused the issue for me, tonight I'm going to play some Division/Mankind Divided to see if I can replicate it before sending off RMA no. 2.

I got the card yesterday and i played WoW for almost 6 hours max setting (10) except shadow on ultra and i'm using Asus Rog Swift monitor 2560x1440, so does it go black screen on you when start playing or after a while ?

The first card I had it took a while until I got the black screen, then it would happen straight away when I booted the game up. However, with the RMA card I played non stop all day without issue, but yesterday it happened after just an hour or so.

I have everything at max apart from environment detail and ground clutter at 7. Render scale @ 100%. I get a disappointing framerate too in the new Legion areas, for a 1080 anyway. My 780ti seems to perform on par with the same settings. That could be unrelated to the card issue though, just saying.

And still, no official word (in detail) from EVGA. I'm pretty sure they aren't blind, but apparently they can't comprehend this doesn't bode well with people...

Yeah they should give an explanation. Also it's really bad that people RMA and get cards with the same problem.

This was my 1st EVGA and i even recommend it to a friend of mine, but after this issue i told him not to buy.

Attached are the imaged of the card that I received to replace my faulty GTX 1080, as I mentioned EVGA has already put me back into the queue to get another GTX 1080 and has been more than helpful and apologetic about these issues.

Seriously this problem happened to me once however hasn't happened to me since but I really don't know if it's worth it to RMA right now atleast until I know it won't happen at all to the new cards.

That's what I thought too, until it happened again a week after, than again a couple hours later. All playing the same game, witcher 3. Now I can get the black screen around the 1 hour mark. I still have my old 770 so I don't have to stay without a card while waiting for RMA.

Been running my 2nd RMA Hybrid card since last Friday night. Have since driven over 100 laps in F1 2016, played some Metal Gear Phantom Pain, Assetto Corsa, Project Cars, FurMark at 720p and 1440p which really stresses the card, and several runs of Firestrike Extreme and Ultra. I've not had a single black screen / fan issue. Game + benchmark stable at 2050mhz. My temps are noticeably higher though as others have posted. FurMark brings the card to 60 degrees (expected). Gaming usually 50-52 degrees.

Same for me. Only happened once. But I don't get long hamming sessions in to really test it. I'm going on my Honeymoon for a month now so hopefully when I'm back a fix will be out and hopefully firmware. If I have to RMA I'll be annoyed as I sold my old gtx 970
