Few days ago on an online shop in France, i contacted them i have 14 days to send it back for an exchange so it's cool i will do some test on other games to see if that only happens on this one anyway

Don't waste your time, just return it to get refund or switch to another brand.
I spent tons of time to investigate this black screen issue by myself (changed drivers, reinstalled Win10, replaced other hardwares) before EVGA confirmed the hardware defect on 8-30.
I'm still waiting for my RMA replacement, it's been 14 days! I'm feeling bad, really very very bad.

Got a question about the RMA, do I need to pay the shipping cost first? As I need to ship the card to TW and just want to double check. Thanks

I think EVGA Taiwan will cover the shipping cost. But you need to check if you have to pay import duties when the replacement card is sent back from TW to your country.

I got this reply from EVGA Asia (TW)

Dear Customer

For black screen issue, please go to EVGA Asia Website to apply RMA first.
1. Go to asia.evga.com/default.asp

2. MEMBER HOME / My Products

3. Submit RMA request

4. Once getting EVGA RMA No, please pack the product well and stick the shipping label on the package.
and then provide your contact information (Address, phone number, contact name and RMA number).
And we will arrange courier to collect the card from you. Once we receive the card , we will advice our RD have firmware fixed the issue and send back the card to you ASAP.

Thanks

Does this mean they're just going to update the firmware on my card and then send it back? So the problem is firmware? I'm not really sure about GPU but shouldn't firmware be upgradable by end users?

I'm asking whether they allow me to do a step-up with the RMA to a Hyrbid or not, otherwise I actually don't mind keeping the same card as I'm managing 2088-2101Mhz with this one and I think I can push it a little more.

This all seems a little fishy to me, I wish EVGA would come out and say something or what exactly is causing this issue. I've seen a few people's RMA card still black screen on them. If it's just firmware then we should definitely be able to do something on our end.

So I got my RMA'd card back on the 10th September, and I just got the black screen 100% fan error AGAIN. They sent me a brand new card out, complete with retail box etc. The shop I bought it from will not refund me without charging 10% restocking fee. I am so fed up now, having spend £680 on a faulty product line that EVGA does not seem to be able to fix.

This is my first time using EVGA, they came recommended and have a good reputation but unfortunately I am not seeing that, now I am going to have to RMA for a 2nd time. I don't even want this card anymore, I just want a refund so I could switch to a different brand/model. FTW 1080 for reference.

And what would you advise me if i want something else with same power? I was thinking about staying on EVGA but with the Superclocked

The answer is easy. Msi gaming x/z, asus strix, gigabyte g1, zotac amp! etc.

I don't think it is a good idea to talk about other brands here. I suggest you to google reviews since it's been a while from 10 series release.
Even with the FE 1080, you will not see much power difference. And all 1080 overclock ability seem no big difference with current voltage limit.

and EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SuperClocked GAMING ACX 3.0, 8 Go seems like a good alternative and no reported issues on it no?

What?! Where did the RMA'd card come from? Was it from EVGA directly? Or the shop just sent your another FTW which was made before 8-30?
