And what if you don' t have a credit card. I only have a virtual prepaid master card which is  linked with my paypal account and obviously I don' t leave such large amounts of money there. I don' t leave it empty either, but again I' d love a clarification on that matter.

Dude, I don't know. Call the number if you want clarification.  For me, the guy said my card would be charged one cent, probably for verification purposes.

Yeah, they should take care of you. It seems there are a lot of us in the same boat here and they're taking it seriously. I don't think you'll have any problems as long as you have your sales invoice and your card is registered. Atleast from what I have dealt with since last night. Their communications through E-mail have been fairly fast aswell.   Good luck with it, it's been annoying, but hopefully they get it all sorted out for all of us. It's a good chunk of money for a lot of us and if they want repeat customers they need to handle it right.

Exactly my thoughts. And registering my card was my top priority when I received it. But, imagine my frustration, when I faced the problem after only 3 hours of gaming.

Anyway, I have already mailed them and waiting for an answer. I' ll update when I have my response.

I'm glad to hear evga is offering cost free advanced RMAs to those affected, even if it does sometimes require a couple tries to resolve it. EVGA is taking care of the customer.  I almost regret not just RMAing mine through EVGA. Had I known the process was nearly painless and at no cost instead of switching to another vendor. I love Asus products but god I hate their RMA process should something go wrong.

Indeed. You don't even get the opportunity for an Advanced RMA from EVGA Taiwan which is very disappointing.

This entire thread is giving me tons of stress. Just got a 1080 FTW from jet and opted out of returns...

I can't believe I discovered this AFTER reading a ton of posts about how EVGA is "the best"... Should have kept my strix 1080 o8G...

Were you experiencing issues with your Strix? Honestly after owning both, they perform exactly the same in real world games. I can't say one is better than the other outside this issue. At least with your FTW should an issue arise in the next three years, EVGA will replace it hassle free.

Absolutely zero issues with Strix. Overclocked to 2050 and stayed cool at 65C. I actually love the RGB backplate, pin connector lights, and 2 pwm fan headers on the strix.

Only reason I put it up for sale is because jet had the FTW on sale for $610.97 - no tax no shipping (after discounts)!

I got to get back like $100 or so and get a brand new card to play the silicon lottery again lol.

Also, here are my benchmarks:

userbenchmark      -----      /UserRun/1666615

And 7814 Graphics score in time spy.
