How long is everyone's 1080 FTW Hybrid RMA taking for their replacement card to ship out? My RMA ticket was entered 09/08/2016, almost 10 days ago, and still has not shipped. I guess they are waiting for more stock, but would be nice to know since it says to allow 2-3 to ship from when the ticket was entered. The NVidia debug mode seems to be working in the meantime so no rush, just wondered what was happening. I've put a ticket in requesting the same btw, just wondering if this wait time is normal for everyone.

(note: this is for the 1080 HYBRID, not the non-hybrid FTW cards)

EVGA responded to the ticket already - they are just waiting on more stock, as I suspected. Thanks.

So are we out of the woods, is it safe to buy a 1080 FTW again?

This black screen crashing nonsense happened to me for the first time today, I've had this card running perfect for over a month now and I read this whole thread and realized that I'm not alone. The funny thing is it happened after about 6 hours of ESO and maybe 10min of Overwatch it honestly scared the hell out of me because neither game is that graphically intense and I've played the Witcher 3 for like 8-9 hours straight with no issue.

I decided to run Heaven for about an hour and my temps hit 74c max and have had no issues. My room was abnormally hot today so I'm hoping it just got too hot as when I decided to take a look at it, it was extremely hot. I'll update if it happens again and I'll be sure to monitor temps and keep the a/c on, if it becomes a consistent issue I'll probably just RMA.

So I got the problem again after a week of not seeing it, also while playing Witcher 3.

Problem is, this time the card simply dropped dead. After resetting, there's only a single white bar on my main monitor. Plugged  in my old 770 and it works normally. No choice but to RMA this time.

i have had the exact same problem. after rebooting it looks like that. what i did to get through that is go to the UEFI at startup then exit and let it reboot. then you should be able to boot windows. just make sure you go to debug mode. And have it RMA'd

I had this black screens to super fans crash about a few weeks ago maybe and it freaked me out. Restarted my PC and it was fine.  Flash forward to today and I was checking out Guild Wars 2 again with a friend. Boom, black screens and omega fans.  Restart PC.  Restart Guild Wars.  Not even 5 mins in, boom black screen and uber fans.  I get pissed and check on EVGA's forums and find this thread.  Now I'm pissed.  How many people are having this problem?  Pretty unacceptable if you ask me.  Am I supposed to RMA or should I just get a new card.

I have been playing WoW and F1 2016 for a week with my RMA card from EVGA TW, so far there is no more black screen occurred (touch wood).  Noticed that at 65 Celsius degree with fan speed curve at 80%, the clock is at 1974 consistently.

Having the same problem... decided to RMA to EVGA TW (I'm in Singapore).

They said that they have already arranged a courier service for me, and requests me to accept the confirmation e-mail from the courier. Thing is, there is no such confirmation e-mail to accept.

How long does a courier contact you, or am I just being ignored by them?

This is my first ever RMA (and EVGA purchase for that matter), so there may be some things I'm unsure about.

Wondering if a EVGA rep can confirm my card is affected by this issue.

I received my RMA card on the 20th of August and it has been fine since till last night. When playing WoW. My Screens went black, fans sped to 100% i hit the power button on my pc. and herd the sound of the windows shut down music. I went in and looked in event logs and nothing was listed. maybe a driver fail?

It has only happened once.

Mine has also crashed several times in Guild Wars 2, and earlier in this thread I noticed a number of people mentioned crashes while playing GW2 (among other games). You will need to contact EVGA and they may run a few tests and likely you'll have to RMA the card, but EVGA have been giving free EAR returns (they ship replacement new card to you, then you ship old card back using supplied pre-paid shipping label). In the meantime, if you go into NVidia control panel and click "help" on the menu on the top of the window, then click "debug mode", that seems to stop the crashes (and also limits the boost to 1860MHz). You need to do this every time you restart your PC btw.

EVGA will ship you a new card btw, not a refurbished one. This problem is apparently some hardware issue with a small number of cards shipped from EVGA prior to 8/30/2016.

To contact EVGA, just go to EVGA RMA and start filling it out, and one of the following screens should give you a toll-free number to call and they will take it from there.
