Dear pwner1984,

I am sorry to hear that you are upset.  I can confirm that your card was received into our Taiwan office earlier today and that it only took a few days to arrive since you are so close to the office.  I assure you that they are working to update and return your product for you as quickly as possible to assist.

If anyone needs help with their request then please do not hesitate to let me know at chrisb@evga.com

Hi @EVGA_JacobF and @EVGA_ChrisB.  I've submitted my RMA request through EVGA Taiwan since I'm in Australia. Is it possible to get an ADVANCE RMA please? As the turnaround time to ship to Taiwan and then have it tested then returned is really going to hurt.

Good luck with that.  I requested the same and they don't have the setup to advance RMA (they don't even have a way to hold your collateral, not even through paypal as others have suggested here for Asia region) in EVGA Taiwan because they have too many jurisdictions to cover in Asia.  Advance RMA is a US privilege.  Email for RMA request and demand that they pay for postage and import duty (import duty is payable in TW).\

If not for the service EVGA is just waiting for a class action lawsuit.

Seriously, 25,000+ views and 516 replies compared to average of around 30 views per post, I do not believe for a second the EVGA narrative that this happens on a "small" number of cards.  A class action lawsuit would reveal on discovery that this probably happens to every other card (or at least, only every other user bothers to RMA).

Enough said....

You might want to be careful about saying stuff like this in a public setting...without any data to back it up...I believe this is called slander / libel.

Defamation is an area of law that provides a civil remedy when someone's words end up causing harm to your reputation or your livelihood. Libel is a written or published defamatory statement, while slander is defamation that is spoken by the defendant.

You can, of course, do as you wish...not trying to be a jerk...just trying to give some advice...

Actually I'm a lawyer myself so I am well versed in what is and isn't libel, don't need you quoting whatever you found on Google.  Now, I have 18 pages and 25,000 views and 2 cards so I can form an opinion of my own, thank you very much.  And by the way, one has to prove harm to reputation and livelihood to be successful as you so aptly copy / pasted... now how is one going to prove that on balance of probabilities?  Courts are also very reluctant to let cases like this to succeed.  You may have heard of it. It's called freedom of speech.

Not trying to be a jerk either, just giving you some advice before you pounce on others for giving their own views.  You and others are welcome to disagree, but the posts on this thread speak for itself and others here are free to come to their own opinion as well, without being "advised" by the self-righteous.

Shrug - won't be drawn in...just trying to help (and thanks for assuming I don't have any experience with the law and can only use Google.)

Cheers!

With all the posts about non working 1080FTW cards does anyone have a working one that's pre 30/08/16 and has not been replaced via RMA.
After running the tests advised on her to try and recreate the problems I can say I have not had any issues and my card has probably had between 60 to 70 hours of gaming in the 16 days or so of owning it.

I decided to return both of mine back to amazon for a full refund.  I will still look to EVGA for cards in the future.

I got mine well before Aug 30th and it has been running beautifully for me. Very pleased with the card.

Either way, this is the way the software and tech industry business model has shifted to in today's world. Unfortunately to be competitive in releases and pricing the end user is now the beta tester (even windows, Google the lay offs). I don't care what company it is, EVGA is making things right via rma for most people I have thumbed through. In the first year of production, there can be issues with many links in the chain; drivers, software, hardware, GPU, etc. They have to be really careful with things that are in discussion in their boardrooms until a course of action has been decided on. I feel for everyone having issues, I'm only having problems at 144hz (flickering) which started about a week ago with driver update or something.
