Evga please chime in on this.
I just ordered one of these cards and now im worried. Much like everyone else in here I am a long time EVGA customer and do not want to buy another brand.
Guess I will report back once I get the card on Thurs. :<

Looking forward to see if you have the same problem.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. Be sure to test the card with various resolutions like 1920 x 1080 or 2560 X 1440. I decided on another brand and I've been testing it all evening and I have 0 problems. So now I know that it isn't my power supply that was the issue but rather a manufacturing defect on EVGA side.

What's the best way to test this?

We have identified this and can confirm that this occurs on a small number of 1080 FTW cards. We have found the root cause and have corrected it. If you are experiencing this problem please contact us directly.

What was the cause? :P

I'm a bit new to evga support and these forums. When you say contact you directly do you mean call the evga support number, a specific e-mail or PM you on here? Just wanna make sure I can get this resolved after having gotten 2 cards in a row with the issue. Thanks for taking the time to respond to us btw.

Whatever the reason is... I hope it doesn't involve me shipping my card anywhere.  I bought this card with so much enthusiasm & now I'll be without any gaming since I JUST began the process for an exchange/refund.. Hopefully we can avoid all that, can't wait to find out what the issue is !

I just got off the phone with technical support, all he was able to tell me is that it is a hardware issue, and they would do another RMA. Not too promising IMO, but ill reserve final judgement till tomorrow when either I call back or someone else has gotten more info on here.

Great news!!! A few questions...I have 2 in SLI if I call support will they be able to tell me if mine are affected? I have had this issue but lowering my clocks seems to have fixed this, but I have to be under 2000 Mhz for them to be stable which I'm guessing that should not be..please advise, also I purchased them via newegg.com should I get them replaced from EVGA to make sure I do not receive one with the issue?

Thanks!!

Please tell me that this is a BIOS update or something required. I just received my card today, have been testing with Heaven benchmark and have had the black screen 100% fans happen 3 times so far... really don't fancy doing an RMA and sending back a 1 day old card and being without it through the Battlefield 1 Open Beta period 😞

My very first EVGA card, disappointing start!
