Hey guys, you who recieved the card from EVGA RMA. I have question to you, does your card have coil whine issiue?

I have 2nd card and both have the black screen problem and pretty noisy coil whine. First I returned to the seller and get this seccond. The black screen problem is still present but not as much on the 1st card. With 1st card I had instant freeze in Crysis every time in 1st mission after fell into water. With the second card I am getting freezes at 3rd savepoint I think, at the GPS jammer. I think the crashes mostly occurs in scenes with watter.

Are you use original cables? Use anyone extension cable? If yes, try to remove...

I RMA'd my GTX1080 FTW recently after I got hard crashes in game. My new card doesn't have noticeable coil whine, at least not yet. My original card had very minimal coil whine, I had to put my ear right up to the computer with sound on mute to hear it.

Hopefully EVGA addresses this problem with a real fix. I can't imagine they will want to continually replace cards for the next 3 years of warranty.

alright, I played the single player of Battlefield 1 for about little over an hour or so, my card didn't crap out on me. of course this card is my first RMA'ed card with serial begins in 16125.
my room temp is around 30C (Southern California) and my card didn't exceed 70C. I'm hoping hydro copper for FTW is available so I can slap that block to reduce some more heat.
so far my luck isn't running out. I'll do some more playing time tomorrow, straight 2 hours or so if my card lets me.
I noticed you guys are having issue after 1.5 hours of playing, was it factory 25 that was releasing bad batches the most than others?

My original 1070 FTW that I shipped yesterday for RMA was 16108. It had coil whine but no issue with anything else but I didn't try it with battlefield

Welp got my second card in, whats the deal with different packaging?  One of my cards was packaged in foam with a piece that was cut and said EVGA other just plain foam piece up top and plastic in the bottom.  One card is labeled Packaged in the USA other is marked Made in china.   Don't like that both cards are packaged different,  Also EVGA Precision is showing my main card as GPU2 I can't get it to show it as GPU1.  Is this a common issue.

It's called a warranty. If it makes you feel better, call them up and complain, better yet, submit an RMA for the poor job of them shipping you the items.

MY issue is with all the FTW black screen/fan issues and no response from EVGA to what causes it or what cards are or are not fixed.  If you would read my other post these cards going under water don't wanna deal with having to undo it all.   Just a little odd a few of the parts on the top of the board you can see thru the backplate have different numbers on them.  Packaging is totally different and so is the label on the back of the box that has the bar code and information.

Sorry, didn't mean to be so sarcastic, i couldn't resist . Mostly I think it just helps on reducing cost for both parties (you and EVGA). I do like to get the new shiny box myself, but that still costs money, ink, etc. You shouldnt have any troubles with your 2 cards. If you have a concern, just give them a call, they're 24/7. Who knows, if they have to give the new shiny box to everybody, they might have to increase costs on shipping. We don't want that.

Well, this was fortunate for me, reading this thread.  Decided to get a built system to replace my 7 year old desktop.  Was running surprisingly well with my EVGA 780Ti Classified Kingpin, but the rest of the old technology was wearing on me.  So of course I had an EVGA 1080 FTW on the build order.  Until this morning, anyway.  Changed it for another brand. Pity, because I've been using EVGA products for a long time.

People buy these kinds of cards to have fun with and play games (or at least I do), NOT do troubleshooting and pop a few Excedrin every time a problem shows up. And certainly not to play RMA marathon games. Maybe some people enjoy being unpaid beta testers, but I sure don't. So I am voting with my wallet, EVGA.  If you want my business, then earn it with quality products that I can use in my leisure time.  I certainly do not need the headaches of faulty designs. So stop treating your customers like mushrooms and FIX the problems.
