Any idea how long does it take from the time they receive the card until they send out the new card? They received mine last Friday base on the courier tracking but the RMA status only got updated today.

I've seen posts ranging from 2-3 weeks, but it will probably come down to availability. They had more in stock last week, and hopefully they saved some as a reserve for people RMA's.

They state 1-3 days turnaround. I'd give them a call. They had a 'technical issue' last week that was preventing them from sending anything out but that's been resolved now. Mine shipped Friday afternoon

Hi,

Just a quick update since my last post and receiving my replacement. It's been running fine for 2 weeks now. Overclocks pretty well (Managed 125 gpu, 575 mem stable at 65c on air, throttling to 2088/76 at full load, no voltage change).  As mentioned in previous post, slightly lower "out of the box" boost at 2012mhz (first card was 2025mhz) however, the important bit... not one black screen so far.

Games/Benchmarks played at great length,

Arkham Knight
Overwatch
Outlast
Everspace
Metro LL redux
South Park
Subnautica

3dmark
Heaven (left running all night all settings on @ 1440p DSR to 1080p monitor)

Hopefully this should lay any fears to rest for people receiving replacement cards.

Cheers,

Mine's the Asia support though so there'll probably be less people RMAing, but also less stock, I'll just wait another day or two before contacting them, see how it goes.

Ugh I'm happy and sad to find this thread. My 1080 FTW has been doing the exact same thing and I'm glad its not just me. I'm in Canada so I can only imagine what fun I'm going to have RMA'ing this damn card.

I had the exact same feeling, usually those of us in Canada get snubbed if the manufacturer doesn't have any repair locations in the country. For example, MSI has 2, one in Ontario and one in BC, but EVGA only has their HQ in Brea, California.

But don't worry, they offered me a free Advanced RMA regardless, and sent it Worldwide Expedited (3 business days), so I'd recommend giving their customer support a call and requesting something similar. If you're just out of the 30 day window, it might be tough to a get a brand new replacement, but it's worth a shot anyway.

I really wish EVGA would specify on what the exact cause of this problem is. I've had some slight coil whine on my PSU for a while now, and I'm starting to think that maybe that's a factor in the BS 100% issue. Saying that my 780ti works no problem but the 1080 does need 2x 6 pins so maybe....

I only seem to get the issue in WoW too. Yesterday I underclocked the card by 75mhz and played all afternoon and I didn't get the problem once.

Submitted my 2nd RMA anyway, I guess if that comes back with the same problem then I need to look to my rig.

just submitted my first RMA for a card that has been barely used at all. I bought the card on the 26th Aug and started experiencing the same issues and sadly it was too late for me to return to where i bought it as it is just past the 28 day refund. Whats the  chances of my RMA giving me a refurb card instead of a brand new retail one with EVGA for a card that is isn't even a month old at this point. My card arrived from Ebuyer on the 8th Sept.

Since it's bought before the issue was found and you're experiencing it you should get a new card through RMA.

Well thats good! Just hope I don't get F'd by the RMA F ups that EVGA has been doing. Although they say its resolved... We will see.

They are sending me a new card first then I'm returning mine. They say "If the card was shipped from our warehouse from
August 30th, 2016 or later, it will not be getting the same issue as before"

So it better not! :)
