I just purchased the GTX 1080 FTW today and the card did this to me after 20 minutes.
So this issue is not fixed, cards are still out in the consumer marketplace with major retailers who are still selling these defective cards.
Very disappointed in EVGA. Will have to RMA.
Why RMA, just return and get another brand at this point?
I did my research and don't like the aesthetics or customer service of most of the other brands.
I was expecting this to be a non-issue by now.
