I am running the EVGA Precision XOC 6.0.8.0 and every time I go into it it errors and closes down right away. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it and it's still doing it. This is the card I'm running EVGA GeForce GTX 1060. Is there another way to manually control the fan without using this program? I really want to find a fix for this. I am using a Intel i7 processor. Any way to fix it?
If you haven't already, I recommend downloading a program called Display Driver Uninstaller, you can find it
HERE. Before you run DDU, download the latest driver version from our website
HERE and save the file on your computer. Install and run the Display Driver Uninstaller program, it will ask to boot into safe mode. When you have booted into safe mode select the option "Clean and Restart (Highly Recommended)". This will clean the previous version of the drivers out of the system and registry and boot back into Windows. Locate the folder where you saved the drivers from our website, open the driver installer. Select "Custom Installation", you will see a check box to perform a clean installation, be sure to check that box then finish the install. That should potentially fix any driver issues.
There are other fan speed controller/overclocking programs you can use. They are all excellent in my opinion but offer slightly different features, it is a matter of preference. This article
HERE is from January but it still contains a relevant list of software that you may be interested in checking out.
