yes, 83ºC is definitely a bit too much.

Make sure your case a decent air-flow

Is it? My normal 1060 gets to be 83 playing Warcraft and Overwatch. Normal and 0DB Bios. Makes no difference.

i hope EVGA release a new bios update which actually gives us a choice of if we want 0DB or not as i prefer have my fan running even if it at 20% on idle as i cant hear it, it gets upto 80c way to quickly and even on 80c the fans only at 45%

was told by evga to use the software to make my own curve... but why the older bios was fine for me yes the fan idle at 45% but surely a new bios that runs it at 20% is better than nothing, least the card sits cooler and has air flow instead of none at all and just sitting there getting hot until 60c

There is currently a bug with AMD (motherboards) that may not allow the flash to complete properly. We are looking into it.

Not in reference to this just wanted to get your attention but do these also apply to the GTX 1060 3GB or will there be new/separate BIOS files for that one?

well got to say thank you EVGA i had a zip file sent to me with two files "fan on" and "fan stops" so can now choose and do tests on which prefer.

so far i am gonna use the older bios, the card now sits nicely on idle at 33'c and during gaming the fan doesn't ramp up anymore, also i like fact if do heavy benchmarks on the card the fan is more aggressive and keeps the card alot cooler, less throttling woop woop

as the card is in my nightblade mi2 pc it has helped alot for a small case when comes to heat

thank you EVGA very happy

Is that zip file for the SC version or non-SC?

Also, could you share it with me, please?

Thank you.

it for the SC version as they linked it to my serial / bios as to send me the right one for that card so it didn't end up bricking it.

not sure if i can share it till someone from EVGA on here confirms it will work with any the SC cards as dont want it bricking any peoples cards

Anyone with a newer card that has a 0dB fan BIOS who would prefer to have an always-on fan BIOS, please contact us directly at support@evga.com, and provide the BIOS revision off the back of your card so we can get you the proper version. Flashing the wrong one could potentially brick your card, so I caution against sharing the files with each other.

MajorDuffus this is why i didn't want to share the bios i got, as for someone like yourself who knows what they doing this is fine, but if someone downloaded my shared zip for the wrong version /rev then there card could end up bricked.

but its ok EVGATech_JaesonW will help you find the correct bios like he did for me, thanks once again jaeson
