Can someone dump the original GTX 1060 SC bios for me, please.

Google for NVIDIA NVFlash 5.306 (I'm unable to post the link)

EDIT: Well, I tried to get EVGA to send me the original BIOS again, this time they sent me the one for the non-SC version.

Really? Because they just told me they didn't even have the original bios available at all. Funny since other people in this thread claim to have received it.

I can only speak for myself, but I definitely had it.

I guess we're gonna have to wait for someone to upload it trough GPU-Z (when it updates).

Hi all, I'm jumping on this thread, as I'm quite interested by a 0dB BIOS update.

Only, I'm aiming at the 3G version of the card : 03G-P4-6160-KR

Is there any planned releases for this 0dB BIOS on this  card ?

Thanks,

Could be wrong on this, but i think any cards in production now, including the 3gb, will come with 0db fan bios already installed.

I hope there is a new BIOS soon that addresses the issue of the fan curve being too low without software installed to control it. I wish I could roll back to the previous firmware now - I'd much rather be safer and stable vs quiet and potential damage to the card...

Come on EVGA!!!

you are an idiot ...
80c is well within spec

First, if you're going to insult, at least use proper grammar. It's "an idiot" instead of "a idiot". It just makes you look very uneducated and foolish.
Second, I didn't state my temperatures. Either way, 80C is NOT an okay temperature for a PC being idle. "You're an idiot" if you think that is fine and passable. I've never had a card from any manufacturer that idles less than 45C to 50C because the firmware of the GPU will properly use the fan. The firmware update addressed one issue and caused another; a request to have both working with no new issues caused is not asking too much when it's a $260 product.

if your gpu is idling at 80c then you have a problem
likely a bitcoin miner
either that or the cooler is falling off the card because there is no possible way that a 1060 will idle  at 80c even with the fan completely stopped
and yes you are still 'an' idiot

Once again, you fail to read. I even stated my GPU doesn't idle at 80C; I was quoting the random temperature that you typed.
Before the BIOS update, my card idled at 34C which was fantastic. The fan ran constantly which caused unwanted noise. After the update, it idles at 61C to 65C depending on the ambient temperature, which is still too high for idle. Doubling the temperature while is NOT okay after doing a BIOS update to resolve an issue, especially when there isn't an official rollback option. The fan should kick in, cool the GPU, and then slow and turn off. That is how my past two cards (from EVGA mind you) have operated.

Keep on with the petty name-calling, badly typed responses, and poor reading comprehension; I'm stating facts from this card and previous generation cards from the manufacturer and the expectations of a reasonable consumer.

you still don't understand why you are an idiot
let me explain it
the gpu idling at 60c is completely acceptable and has no bearing on anything period end of discussion

if you have trouble understanding why you clearly aren't very educated on the subject
ASICs pull current and current as we all know is what kills gpus not temperature so its perfectly happy to sit at 60 or 70c at idle and it won't mean a dam thing

but hey since we both know you are too stupid to use precision to set a fan curve and let it run at 25% who am I to question your sound logic
you my silly little `consumer` are looking for problems where there are none some people value silence over completely meaningless idle temps
