But how long before you got the email?  I placed my order right around 5:30 and I've never gotten a confirmation or anything that an order was attempted.  I've only gotten the $1 charge.
And my order history is still showing 0.

Your in exactly the same boat as me which I believe is floating up poop creek without a paddle...I think some people had cards yanked out of their carts before getting to the order submission page but we got the orders submitted before the system realized they were out of stock which is why there is no further activity for us.

About the only thing I can recommend is that you get a 1070 SC off of newegg, and use it for a few months. Then sell it for say 400 USD, and take a slight loss....then buy a 1070FTW...although in the time that it would take for one of those to ship, you might as well wait another week or two and see if the FTW's show up again...

Nah, I can wait.  If the AMD cards weren't such POSs I would consider one of those but that ain't gonna happen so I sit and wait like a stooge to give nVidia my cash...like everyone else.

I just saw where i'd see $1 charged until the order was processed or something like that.

3. Address Verification

In order for us to verify your address we will process a small test charge for $1 to $2 each time you try to place an order at EVGA.com. This is required to verify your billing address and the test charge should not be deducted from your account.

Well I did at least get my pre-order in on Newegg.   I'll keep it in my backorder cart unto I see something here.

Would've done the same thing if the shipping weren't so much higher. Got 3-day from NewEgg for free. Not sure what the benefits of ordering directly from EVGA would be...

Guessing they'd ship your card in a reasonable timeframe and generally care that you were a customer.

Those of us who were lucky enough to order a FTW 1070 on EVGA today benefit by having it shipped right away...I would hope. Because it was "In Stock" Instead of on "Back Order" like Newegg.

Hi,
We recommend ordering the EVGA product from the retailer that you do prefer.  However if you do want to buy direct you do have the option available.

Yes, all $1 verification holds will fall off as soon as the bank releases them.  If the order is successfully placed then you will be charged immediately and the order details will also be emailed to you.

EVGA GTX 1080 FTW is currently available at ebuyer.com but they just put the price up to 722.99 pounds from 659.99.  The original expect delivery date was 22nd Jul. Hope Amazon UK will get their stock quicker as well.
