I posted in a different thread, but Newegg has been prioritizing new orders over backorders.  There are some chat log transcripts floating around where they (try to) explain this to the irate customer.

Umm, as far as I'm concerned that is NOT ok...I will give them a few weeks to come through, if they don't get on the ball, I'm goanna figure a new way...

newegg has backorder on the GTX 1070 FTW now but I can only buy from Amazon or Evga store.

I'm going to be watching Amazon like a hawk; if they get any in stock and my payment still hasn't been charged I'll just cancel my NewEgg order.  I sold my 980 and have been without a GPU since mid June; didn't expect there would still be a shortage.  Lesson learned, I guess.

I ordered the GTX 1070 SC from Amazon just now but I hope the FTW would pop up on Amazon soon before the SC get ready for shipment so I can cancel the SC and order the FTW.
If not, I will just stick with the SC for now _)
